Terms of Service.

The deal between you and Parrot, written to be read. No nine-point type, no clauses designed to be skipped.

Your mail stays yours

We never sell it, and we never use it to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.

Nothing sends itself

Parrot drafts and sorts. Every outgoing message waits for you to press send.

Leave whenever

Cancel in one click. Your mail never left your provider, and we purge our copy in 30 days.

The three cards above are a summary for orientation only — the numbered sections below are the terms that actually bind us.

1. The agreement

These Terms govern your use of Parrot Mail — the web app, the API, and anything else we publish under the Parrot Mail name. By creating an account or connecting a mailbox, you agree to them.

If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have the authority to bind that company, and "you" means the company.

We may update these Terms as the product changes. Material changes are announced by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Parrot after that date means you accept the new version.

2. What Parrot provides

Parrot is an email client, not an email provider. Your addresses, your mailboxes, and your archives stay with Gmail, Outlook, or whichever IMAP host you use. We connect to them with your permission and give you one place to read, sort, and answer everything.

The service includes AI categorization, thread summaries, natural-language search, and drafted replies. Features vary by plan and evolve over time. We may add, change, or retire individual features, but we will not remove something you pay for without notice and a fair refund.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old and provide accurate account details. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including keeping your credentials and connected-provider tokens secure.

Tell us promptly at security@parrotmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We will help you revoke sessions and disconnect accounts immediately.

4. Acceptable use

Use Parrot for your own mail, lawfully. You agree not to send spam or bulk unsolicited mail through the service, impersonate anyone, upload malware, harvest other people's data, probe or overload our infrastructure, or resell access without a written agreement.

You also agree not to reverse-engineer the service or use it to build a competing product, and not to circumvent plan limits — including automating AI actions beyond what your plan allows.

Serious or repeated violations can result in suspension. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

5. AI features

Categorization runs on-device. Reply drafting and summarization process the relevant thread in memory and discard it immediately afterwards. Your mail is never retained as training data.

AI output is a suggestion, not advice. Labels can be wrong, summaries can miss nuance, and drafts can misstate facts. You are responsible for reviewing anything Parrot writes before you send it — particularly where legal, financial, or medical consequences are involved.

Parrot never sends, deletes, or forwards mail on its own initiative. Every action that leaves your mailbox requires an explicit instruction from you.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to your email, attachments, contacts, and anything else you bring into Parrot. We claim no ownership.

You grant us a limited licence to process that content strictly to operate the service for you — syncing, indexing for search, categorizing, and generating the drafts you ask for. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.

How we handle your data in detail is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Plans, billing and trials

Both plans start with a 30-day free trial. No card is required up front, and the full feature set is available during the trial.

Pro is $12 per month and Ultimate is $24 per month, billed monthly or yearly in advance; yearly billing saves 20%. Prices are exclusive of any applicable tax, which is added at checkout.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel before it ends. You can cancel any time from Settings, effective at the end of the current period — we do not pro-rate partial months, but we also do not charge you again after you cancel.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Changes never apply to a term you have already paid for.

8. Cancellation and termination

You can close your account at any time. Doing so revokes our access to your connected mailboxes instantly, and every trace of your data is purged from our systems within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, exposes us to legal risk, or goes unpaid after written reminders. Except in cases of abuse or legal compulsion, we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to export your data first.

Your mail is unaffected either way. It lives with your provider, and it stays there.

9. Availability and support

We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime and publish incidents on our status page. Planned maintenance is announced in advance and scheduled for low-traffic windows.

Parrot depends on third-party providers — Google, Microsoft, and IMAP hosts. Outages, rate limits, or API changes on their side can degrade the service, and those are outside our control.

Support is available by email and in-app chat to all paying customers. Teams on Ultimate get priority response and a named contact.

10. Our intellectual property

The Parrot Mail software, design, brand, and documentation are ours and are protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service — nothing more.

Feedback you send us is a gift, not a secret: we can use it to improve Parrot without obligation or payment. We will not identify you as its source without asking.

11. Disclaimers

Parrot is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. Parrot is not a system of record — keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

12. Limitation of liability

Neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, even if advised such damages were possible.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including fraud, willful misconduct, or death and personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

Before filing anything, email legal@parrotmail.com. Most disputes are a misunderstanding, and we would rather fix it than litigate it.

14. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in a merger or acquisition. Together with the Privacy Policy, this is the entire agreement between us and supersedes any earlier version.
